really it is too bad in nearly every thing but it is exellent in its site because you can go anywhere in Alex in just 10 to 15 minutes.

The worst airport I have ever been to. The service of Air Arabia from this airpot is even worst !!! Everyone asks for tips, dirty floor, rude behaviour, unsafe & dirty sitting arrangement, and what not.

I travel the world and this airport features in all my travel nightmares, its the worse airport I have ever had the displeasure of traveling trough.

Aly airport described as asick man between egypt airports < But that was at past. i nearly know that Alex airport will be closed at march 2010 an will be completely improved know to be like other airports in egypt . so dont worry about customer servic and cleaning of bathrooms & the tounge of its employees becuz all of them will be execllent training .

the waiting 'lounge' is dirty. got pools of water under the chairs. not to mention it is hot in the airport. the airconditioner is turn on but then of no purpose since everyone inside the airport is smoking. one thing i learn is to never take taxis just outside the airport. i rather walk out from the airport (merely 3minutes of walking) and take taxis from there because the price is cheaper by 5 times. got no signboard what so ever to keep the passengers informed. even the announcement is in arabic and luckily one arabic woman helped me translate the announcement. the arrival/departure hall is confusing. i arrive at the departure hall (without me knowing) and then have to take taxis on my own to the hotel when someone is already waiting for me at the arrival gate. alexandria is a great place but the airport is realllly bad.

I wish that the service in the airport improve.For a city that wants tourism it is absolutely necessary to improve conditions.Also where is the pride of doing a good job!

alexandria airport is small but provided all the services airport is old but will renwal this year and its the only airport inside the city no need to travell to be in the down town

The worst airport ever built. The worst people servicing the travelers. The uncleanest. The smallest. All of this goes for borg el arab airport as well.

to the one who says she is a blonde woman.there is a taxi company that is established in alex like 3 years ago something like that.very nice and clean service.u call them and ask them to pick you up from the airport.the number is 19559 from any cell phone in egypt.thats the best way for u to ensure ur safety.

Well,Alexandria Airport "Nozha" used to be a very nice airport with friendly atmosphere.Currently it is so very bad & is the same like Borg Al Arab airport/Alex.They will both be replaced by a good decent one in mid 2009 as I was informed when I asked the staff in Nozha airport : " what happened to you ? " :-)

One of the worst airports which we have passed through. There is no space and the passenger lounge is so dirty with the toilets also dirty and not clean. The baggage checking in was full of confusion. Our flight was delayed by more than 3 hours and not a single announcement regarding the reason and furstrated passengers with children were waiting all along without having a clue on what is worng with the flight. There was no display on the scheduled flights or delay if any?? The staff at the airport does not know a word of English and arrogance in their communication was so openly displayed. Alexandria city which we passed through was so impressive but the airport took the sheen of the city. We still wonder if this small message will be taken in the right spirit and action taken.

If you need a car to meet you the best thing to do is to speak to the hotel, as they usually have a contract with local drivers and will arrange to have one pick you up. They usually have a fixed price for the serivce. It's more expensive than a taxi but still cheap by western standards (maybe GBP5 or GBP10 max) and will usually be a much better car than a standard taxi. It's the safest and easiest way if you are new to the area.

I will be arriving at ALY at around 02.30 in the morning. as i will be travelling alone and I am a blonde woman, how can i ensure that a taxi will be availbelt to meet me to take me to the metropole hotel in the centre of alexandria? (only 10 minutes ride, so how much should i expect to pay?) naturally, my safety is much much more importnat than the price!!!

the airport is very unclean, bad and no services in it, I do believe that could be the same when you come back 100 years form now.
